2004 Best of The West All Tournament Team

What:  Top Amateur Wood Bat Baseball Tournament

When:  Friday – Sunday June 24-26

Where:  Stanford's Sunken Diamond, Cal's Evans Diamond, San Jose State, UCSB, SLO Stadium

Entry Fee:  $1,500.00 (3 – 9 inning games guaranteed)

Compensation:  $25,000.00 - $35,000.00 for top 4 finishers.

Requirements:  Must be one of the top amateur summer wood bat baseball teams in the country and have the $1,500.00 entry fee.

Why:  To win big $ compensation to help pay for the 2005 summer season expenses and for bragging rights to see “Who is the Best in the West”!  The 2004 tournament included the last two NBC World Series tournament winners. 

Trophy (Best in all USA tournaments):  Our baseball version of the Stanley Cup.  Polished Aluminum Bat from Louisville Slugger with display case.  Worth winning just for the trophy!   

Competition:  The list of top teams from around the country who played in the eight-team 2004 Best in the West Invitational – Santa Barbara Foresters (2003 NBC Champion), San Luis Obispo Blues, Maxim Yankees, Aloha Knights (2004 NBC Champion), SF Angels, Oakland Expos, Tinsel Town Terror, and Fontanetti’s. 

2005 Tournament Goals:  To have four pools of three teams each with top team coming out to reach the final four at Stanford University's Sunken Diamond on Sunday. June 26^th. 

 Previous Tournament Results:

2003: Maxim Yankees defeated Long Beach Strikers 4-1 in Championship Game.  Yankees win the 1st annual Best of the West Championship.

4th- SF Angels $1.5K

2004: Maxim Yankees defeated the San Luis Obispo Blues 5-1 in the Championship Game at Stanford's Sunken Diamond to win the 2nd annual Best of the West Championship.

1st- Maxim Yankees $10k

3rd- Santa Barbara Foresters

4th- Fontanetti's
