Competition: The 2005 tournament included six teams who qualified for the 2005 NBC Tournament: Maxim Yankees, Salinas Packers, Santa Barbara Foresters, San Francisco Angels, San Luis Obispo Blues and San Diego Stars.
The list of top teams from around the country who played in the eight-team 2004 Best in the West Invitational – Santa Barbara Foresters (2003 NBC Champion), San Luis Obispo Blues, Maxim Yankees, Aloha Knights (2004 NBC Champion), SF Angels, Oakland Expos, Tinsel Town Terror, and Fontanetti’s.

2003: Maxim Yankees defeated Long Beach Strikers 4-1 in Championship Game. Yankees win the 1st annual Best of the West Championship.
